    Per a statement, Buchman brings experience handling high-profile antitrust disputes and class actions, having served as lead or co-lead counsel in several of the nation’s most prominent cases. The firm indicated that his arrival strengthens its efforts to challenge unlawful market practices and advocate for fair competition on behalf of consumers, businesses, and public entities nationwide.

    Over the course of nearly 30 years, Buchman has built a reputation as a prominent figure in antitrust class action litigation. According to a statement, he is among a select group of litigators who have successfully tried an End-Payor generic drug antitrust class action, a distinction that underscores his trial experience in a complex and highly specialized area of law.

    Throughout his career, Buchman has played roles in some of the largest antitrust class actions in the United States. These include representing the largest retailer class representative in the $5.5 billion Visa/Mastercard Payment Card Interchange Fee and Merchant Discount Antitrust Litigation, as well as helping secure a $198.4 million settlement in In re Xyrem (Sodium Oxybate) Antitrust Litigation. The latter is described by the firm as the second-largest federal court End-Payor reverse payment generic drug antitrust settlement in more than 25 years of such cases, per a statement.
