Juan Delgado has been appointed editor of CPI Europe Column as of 1st January 2015. Juan Delgado will join current editor Anna Tzanaki to identify every month the hottest EU competition topics and select the best authors to provide rigorous and critical insights into them.
Juan Delgado is a Director at Global Economics Group. He has more than 15 years of experience in competition policy, regulation and public policy. Until 2011, he was the first Chief Economist at the Spanish Competition Commission. Previously, he was a research fellow at the Bruegel think-tank and at the Harvard Kennedy School. He has also worked at DG COMP and at the Spanish Telecoms Regulator. Juan holds a PhD in Economics from Carlos III University in Madrid.
Anna Tzanaki is a PhD researcher at University College London specialising in EU competition law and economics. Anna holds an LLM from the University of Chicago and has been an editor of CPI Europe Column since its inception back in 2012.
