Judge dismisses antitrust lawsuit against Mattel over Bratz dolls

Judge David Carter (U.S. District Court, Central District of California – Santa Ana) has dismissed MGA Entertainment’s antitrust complaint against Mattel. MGA claimed that Mattel stole its idea for Bratz dolls and asked for $1 billion in damages.

    Judge Carter had previously granted MGA leave to file an amended complaint, for failing to raise its claims in previous litigation. However, the amended complaint “all but asks this court to reconsider its prior order dismissing the original complaint,” wrote Judge Carter.
