KFTC petitioned to investigate resale price maintenance for North Face jackets
The Seoul YMCA has petitioned the Korean Fair Trade Commission to investigate possible resale price maintenance of North Face products in Seoul. The YMCA surveyed 23 stores and found that each offered North Face items only within a specific price range.
Last week, the YMCA spoke out against foreign brands’ pricing policies in Korea: Korean consumers pay more than a 50 percent markup, and the popularity of North Face jackets has led to violence and social problems.
