Khalid A. Mirza, first Chairman of the CCP, appointed to CAT

The first Chairman of the Competition Commission of Pakistan (CCP), Khalid A. Mirza, has been appointed a member of the Competition Appellate Tribunal. Mirza served on the CCP from 2007 to 2010; prior to that, he chaired the Monopoly Control Authority, served in the World Bank, and chaired the Securities & Exchange Commission of Pakistan. Mirza was instrumental to promulgating the Competition Act and advised the government on the legislation. His term on the Tribunal is for three years.
