Land O’Lakes price-fixing settlement approved

Federal Judge Gene Pratter gave his final approval of a $25 million settlement to be paid by Land O’Lakes and its subsidiaries for alleged egg price-fixing. Plaintiffs accused the company of illegal agreements to “limit egg production, introduce cage space requirements, and exporting eggs and hens overseas…” to keep egg prices high. The defendant companies also agreed to assist the plaintiffs in their cases against defendants not party to the settlement.
