According to a statement, the new partner has significant experience in high-stakes cases across federal and state courts and has argued appeals in industries ranging from technology and healthcare to media, consumer goods, and transportation.

    Marc Jaffe, managing partner of the New York office, noted the importance of litigation capabilities in the firm’s largest U.S. market. “With a tremendous track record handling complex disputes and a reputation for excellence, Dave is a superb addition to our market-leading New York litigation team and an invaluable asset for our clients,” he said.

    The move also builds on the firm’s global antitrust practice. According to a statement from Mike Egge, chair of the antitrust and competition practice, the hire follows the addition of Alfonso LaMadrid in Europe earlier this year. Egge said the goal is to ensure clients have access to both deal clearance expertise and courtroom representation when transactions face challenges.
