Malaysia: Forty complaints filed since competition law enacted

Malaysia’s competition watchdog, known as MyCC, said that since the announcement of the nation’s Competition Act in January of last year, the Malaysia Competition Commission has received 40 complaints – 26 of which are currently under instigation.

The statistics were reported by the regulator’s CEO Shila Dorai Raj.

According to reports, the majority of complaints regarded the nation’s pharmaceutical industry of its shipping and logistics sector. Raj said the regulator is set to announce a probe into one of these complaints this week.
