El Instituto Federal de Telecomunicaciones (Ifetel) ha resuelto otorgar a la telefónica norteamericana AT&T y a Radiomóvil Dipsa (Telcel) los títulos de concesión tras la licitación pública IFT-3, para usar, aprovechar y explotar bandas de frecuencias del espectro radioeléctrico ene frecuencias 1710-1780 MHz/2110-2180 MHz, también conocida como banda AWS.
“Ambas empresas ganadoras del proceso licitatorio, por separado, acreditaron ante el Instituto el cumplimiento del pago de las contraprestaciones que ofrecieron por la asignación del espectro en el tiempo establecido”, aseguró el regulador.
El Ifetel señaló que en ambos casos los títulos que se otorgaron quedarán vinculados a concesiones habilitantes, para prestar comercialmente servicios de telecomunicaciones que ya ofrecen los concesionarios, tales como telecomunicaciones móviles.
