Nestle gets OK for Pfizer infant nutrition business

Ireland’s Competition Authority has cleared Nestle’s proposed acquisition of Pfizer Nutrition. Pfizer Nutrition is Pfizer’s infant nutrition business, including products such as infant milk formula. The watchdog found that there was only “limited overlap” in the parties’ activities. In Ireland, Nestle is primarily active in breakfast cereals, infant milk formula products, sweets, and beverages.
