Netherlands: Akzo fights EU confidentiality ruling in bleach cartel case

Akzo Nobel NV has been accused by the European Commission of violating the confidentiality of its leniency filings with an extended public version of a 2006 bleach cartel case decision. The Dutch chemical company appealed a commission ruling rejecting its request for confidential treatment of certain information in the watchdog’s hydrogen peroxide case.
