New Zealand: Chorus says it may lose $148 million over Commerce Commission decisions

Chorus Ltd. has announced it may lose up to $148 million if rulings by the New Zealand Commerce Commission on pricings of Chorus’s wholesale services are enforced. The infrastructure company was told to decrease the monthly pricings of unbundled copper local loop. The Commerce Commission is also expected to announce a decision in June 2013 over lowering the pricing for unbundled bitstream access, another issue over which Chorus has raised concerns.
