New Zealand: Commission clears joint venture of clay brick companies

The Commerce Commission of New Zealand, has cleared CSR Building Products Limited and Brickworks Building Products (NZ) Limited to establish a joint venture to supply clay bricks in New Zealand. Dr Mark Berry, the chairman of the Commerce Commission, said that the deal was unlikely to substantially lessen competition in the New Zealand market for the manufacture, import and supply of clay bricks.
