New Zealand: Commission revising M&A guidelines

New Zealand’s Commerce Commission has announced new draft guidelines to be used by the authority when reviewing merger and acquisition applications. According to a press release, the Authorization Guidelines will aid the Commission when clearing and authorizing mergers and acquisitions; the authority has also revised the current Mergers and Acquisitions Guidelines document. According to the Commission, both documents are expected to be completely revised by the middle of the year; the authority is currently seeking public comment.
