New Zealand: Vector applies to acquire Contact Energy’s gas metering operations
Vector Limited has announced plans to acquire nearly, if not all of Contact Energy Limited’s gas metering operations after officially applying for approval to the Commerce Commission. The two companies are both part of the gas and energy markets; Vector owns and operates networks for gas distribution and transmission pipelines, Contact Energy operates electric services. Both provide gas metering services.
