Nigeria: Growing telecom market leads to assessment of market competition

The Nigerian Communications Commission has given a warning to the nation’s telecommunications market to not engage in anti-competitive behavior and has announced it has commissioned Consultancy firm KPMG to assessment the current levels of competition in the market. The number of active mobile telecom users in the nation has steadily increased in recent months, with reports indicating the teledensity having increased by 76.7 percent.
