Pakistan: Chamber of Commerce invited to play role in antitrust

The Competition Commission of Pakistan has said that the nation’s chamber of commerce can play a vital role in antitrust enforcement.

CCP chairman Dr. Joseph Wilson spoke at the Multan Chamber of Commerce and Industry to encourage the chamber of commerce to aid in the implementation of competition policy, calling the agency crucial to consumer welfare and economic growth. Reports say the chairman briefed the participants of the session on the Competition Act 2010.

The session was part of the CCP’s program to educate the nation’s business community on competition policy.
