Phase II review for GM-Opel-Peugeot alliance

Germany’s Bundeskartellamt has announced that it will launch a Phase II investigation of the alliance between GM, its German unit Opel, and Peugeot. The alliance calls for joint purchasing, logistics, and development and production of cars and car parts. The regulator is concerned with possible anticompetitive effects on car parts suppliers.
