Local Transport Minister Norman Baker has announced bus regulation reforms. The recent Competition Commission report into the local bus market prompted changes to eliminate barriers to competition as well as anticompetitive practices by bus operators. Moreover, £15 million is dedicated to help small and medium-sized bus companies install smart ticketing equipment on their buses.
