Russia: First food price-fixing claims arise since EU food import ban

    Russia’s Federal Antimonopoly Service filed a lawsuit against poultry conglomerate Stavropol Broiler for price-fixing following a probe that found inflated prices, reports say. According to the regulator, Stavropol Broiler sold the lowest prices in the market before the food import sanctions were introduced.

    President Vladimir Putin signed a decree last month to ban food product imports from the EU in response to Western sanctions against Russia for its conflict with Ukraine.
