Russia: Gazprom will continue to contest Ukraine’s antitrust fine

Last week Gazprom again confirmed that it intends to contest the decision by Ukraine’s Antimonopoly Committee. The contested issue is on a multi-billion fine the committee set for the company, confirmed in a number of other initiatives in Ukrainian courts.

    “We intend to contest the decision,” Gazprom said in its prospectus for a new memorandum of Eurobonds.

    On January 2016, the Antimonopoly Committee decided to fine Russian gas giant for abuse of its monopoly position on the Ukrainian market. This decision has been upheld several times by Ukrainian courts.
