Russia: Leading long-distance provider fights against placement on FAS dominance list
Rostelecom has official backing in its repeal of FAS’s decision to place the national operator on a list of dominant companies in the market. The Volgo-Vyatka arbitrage court upheld Rostelcom’s appeal to annul FAS’s decision, which placed Rostelecom on the list after the company had asked the antitrust authority to remove Rostelcom’s former subsidiary Volga Telecom. Rostelecom is the nation’s top long-distance telephony provider.
