South Africa: Cable cartel sent to Tribunal for fines

 |  March 20, 2014

South Africa’s Competition Commission has reportedly referred findings that point to a cartel in the nation’s cable industry to the Competition Tribunal for possible fines.

The findings follow a study launched in March 2010 in the industry; Aberdare Cables first approached regulators with the claims of price-fixing and thus applied for immunity.
