South Africa: Local automation company alleges margin squeeze from two giants

According to reports, a South African industrial automation company has approached the Competition Commission asking the authority to investigate what it alleges as a breach of competition law by two larger companies. Protea Automation Solutions is accusing EOH and Invensys that the two have been squeezing out Protea from the competition by barring the company from acquiring certain products needed for Protea’s customer base. Protea’s CEO said in a statement that the two companies are abusing their market dominance.
