South Africa: Major construction projects part of widespread bid-rigging

Media outlets are recording a widespread bid-rigging scandal within South Africa’s construction sector. According to reports, major engineering and construction companies have been implicated in the scandal for bid-rigging and price-fixing of state contracts, two of which include the National Stadium and the Nelson Mandela Bridge. Murray & Roberts, Group Five, Concor and Wilson Bayly Holmes Ovcon have all been named as part of the scandal.
