Spain: CNMC to probe market collusion among IT firms

Spain’s anti-trust regulator CNMC announced the launch of an investigation into possible market collusion against 11 Spanish IT services firms.

    The companies Cibernos Consulting, Software AG Espana, Indra, Gesein, IBM, Atos Spain, Connectis ICT Services, Informatica El Corte Ingles, Next Computer Services, Axpe Consulting and Everis Spain stand accused of infringing EC competition laws, with the CNMC already having carried out preliminary investigations at the offices of several of the companies involved following a tip-off from the tax authorities. The investigation will last a maximum of 18 months, said the CNMC.
