Spain: Regulator probes Orange over media law compliance

Spanish communications and competition regulator CNMC said it began proceedings against Orange for possible failure to comply with requirements to finance European video productions. The company faces a fine of EUR 100,000-200,000 if CNMC finds against it. Under Spanish media regulations, broadcasters must invest at least 5 percent of their annual revenues in TV programmes, movies, cartoons or documentaries.
