Statement of objections issued to optical disk manufacturers

Thirteen unnamed optical disk drive producers received a statement of objections from EU antitrust regulators in response to allegations of bid-rigging over a five year period. The European Commission is concerned that “those suppliers may have coordinated their behavior in bidding events organized by two major original equipment manufacturers.” Penalties for such activities can reach up to 10 percent of global sales.
