Sweden’s Competition Authority has announced its approval for Hakon Invest to acquire the remaining shares of retailer giant ICA and to not take action on Hakon’s notice of assessment of concentration. The acquisition of shares remains to be approved by authorities in Norway, however, and other regulatory measures remain including by an ICA Retailers Association. If approved, Hakon will take full ownership of ICA.
