Switzerland: Owner plans to sell second-largest telco

Private equity firm CVC is reportedly planning to divest Switzerland’s second-largest wireless operator Sunrise, a move after CVC failed to merge Sunrise with another company in 2010.

    Sources told reporters that CVC is discussing the sale with advisors to either sell or list Sunrise, a deal that could come into force in as early as six months, though CVC declined to confirm the news.

    Switzerland has three main wireless operators, the other two being Swisscom and Orange Switzerland.
