Thailand: PTT wants Shell partnership, with perks

Thailand’s largest energy conglomerate announced the possibility of a joint venture with Shell if the company can become a partner with the gas giant.

    Energy firm PTT said Shell Thailand showed interest in entering into the liquefied natural gas business with PTT and is open to become a supplier to the company. But PTT added that it would consider such a deal if it could become a partner with Shell in its gas exploration operations.

    The two have reportedly never worked together in the liquefied natural gas sector. Reports say a venture could include the two jointly investing in gas fields.
