Three Quebec construction companies plead guitly to bid-rigging for Chicoutimi Hospital contract

Three Quebec construction companies have pleaded guilty in the Quebec Superior Court to rigging bids for the renovation of the Chicoutimi Hospital emergency room. The companies had entered into an agreement in 2003 to determine in advance the winner of the contract. Construction G.T.R.L. was fined $50,000; Acoustique JCG Inc. and Entreprises de Construction OPC Inc. were fined $25,000 each.
