U.K.: Barclays/ING takeover under OFT review

The Office of Fair Trading has announced the body will investigate Barclay’s plans to buy its rival ING Direct’s British retail banking business. Parties who wish to comment on the deal should do so by November 20, according to the OFT. The takeover of the Dutch business was agreed upon by the two parties last October.
