U.K.: Lawyers applaud proposed changes within Office of Fair Trading

Britain’s decision to implement certain reforms within its Office of Fair Trading have been applauded by specialist lawyers as one that will lead to more “robust” decision-making. In addition to other changes, the OFT plans to create a three-person panel specific to dealing with matters of infringement and penalty rulings. Lawyers caution, however, that these changes will not lead to faster investigations within the OFT.
