U.K.: Manchester Airport Group in the race for Stansted

Manchester Airport Group (MAG), which also owns East Midlands and Bournemouth airports, will team up with Industry Fund Management (IFM) to make a bid to buy Stansted Airport from BAA. BAA’s decision to sell Stansted in the summer followed from a legal battle with the Competition Commission (CC), which ruled that BAA sell Stansted due to lack of competition between London airports.
