U.K.: Possibility of Penguin, Random House merger

Pearson PLC has announced the British publishing company is currently in talks with German media group Pearson PLC to merge the companies’ Penguin and Random House publication firms. Pearson noted, however, that the talks are preliminary and no deal – or even the promise of a deal – has been made.
