U.S.: American Airlines/Sabre antitrust suit possibly delayed due to judge recusal

 |  October 23, 2012

Texas state Judge Don Cosby was recently recused from a lawsuit filed against Sabre Inc. by American Airlines Inc. The motion to recuse was filed by Sabre Inc. after the company suggested the public could perceive bias due to the fact American Airlines made donations to Lena Pope Children’s Home, a charity which Judge Cosby also supports. The recusal will likely push back the hearing, whose opening statements were slated to begin tomorrow. American Airlines has accused Sabre of obscuring AA fares in customer searches on the distribution system.
