U.S.: Aviation services co. won’t quit in antitrust fight against Colorado county

An antitrust suit filed by JetAway Aviation against Montrose County in Colorado and others, dismissed by a judge last March, has been appealed and is reaching growing complexity. JetAway has offered to settle with the county if Montrose allows the aviation services company to build an on-airport operator. Montrose, however, says it is concerned over JetAway’s alleged violations of the minimum standards of safety for Montrose Regional Airport. JetAway initially filed the suit against Montrose County alleging it violated antitrust law by revoking the aviation company’s access to the airport.
