U.S.: Jewelers receive millions from De Beers class action settlement

According to sources, jewelry chains Zale and Signet received $1.9 million $3.9 million, respectively, in settlement funds from a class action against De Beers. Approval for funds to go out was given by a New Jersey federal court last August. The class action was initiated by trade companies who bought directly from De Beers accusing the diamond seller of anticompetitive practices.
