U.S.: Six-year-old international vitamin cartel suit ready to proceed

A lawsuit filed back in 2006 by Mississippi Attorney General Jim Hood is again planned for a hearing at the Rankin County Circuit Court in Friday. Hood had initiated the suit on allegations of an “international cartel” among vitamin producers and distributors. Among the charges are a “massive and long-running international conspiracy” of price fixing between 1990 and 1999, according to the suit. The suit has been delayed since 2006 due to disputes over jurisdiction.
