UAE: JetBlue launches joint venture

US airliner JetBlue recently announced plans to launch a partnership with United Arab Emirates’ national airline Etihad Airways, say reports, a venture that would allow customers to travel along both airlines’ routes on a single ticket.

    The companies announced the partnership plans Wednesday, a deal that will begin with a codeshare on 40 JetBlue routes in the US; the venture will be extended later this year as Etihad begins daily flights to Los Angeles, say reports.

    The partnership remains subject to regulatory clearance.
