UK: BBC competition chief joins healthcare law firm

Top healthcare law firm Capsticks has reportedly hired the BBC’s head of competition Noel Watson-Doig, say reports.

    Watson-Doig once served at the European Court of Justice under instruction of Judge J. Cooke regarding competition policy, state aid and other legal matters, say reports. He joined law firm Reed Smith in 2006, moving on to Cameron McKenna in 2008 and finally at the BBC in 2009, according to reports.

    The competition expert played a role in the European Commission’s approval of Syniverse Technologies’ buyout of Billing Services Group among other high-profile cases in the EU and UK.
