UK/Germany: Rumors surface for third time over Vodafone’s big purchase in Germany
British telecom company Vodafone is reportedly looking to buy Germany’s largest cable operator Kabel Deutschland. Two sources reported to the media that senior officials at Vodafone are in talks to draft a bid. Rumors swirled in 2008 of this merger that Vodafone denied; the story popped up again in 2010. Kabel Deutschland has been eyed by other companies including Liberty Global.
