UK: Mazars finalises merger with Chinese audit firm ZhongShen Zhonghuan

 |  January 18, 2016

Mazars has announced a merger in China, which will see an extra 1,800 members of staff join the firm’s team across mainland China

The agreement with Chinese audit fim ZhongShen ZhongHuan was finalised in December last year, Mazars said today. It follows mergers in Germany, Austria, Mozambique and Cyprus during 2015.

The merger brings more than 1,800 staff members, including 83 partners, from 15 offices. Zhang Liwen, chief chartered accountant of ZhongShen ZhongHuan, has been appointed to the Mazars Group Executive Board, while Shi Wenxian, chief partner of ZhongShen ZhongHuan, has been appointed to the Mazars Group Governance Council.

The increased capacity across China will help the firm’s UK clients, Phil Verity, Mazars UK senior partner said, and will allow the firm to better support Chinese companies seeking to invest in the UK.
