UK: OFT accepts electrical co merger remedies

According to a press release, the Office of Fair Trading has apparently accepted remedies offered by electrical supply company Rexel UK Limited to win approval of its acquisition of Wilts Wholesale Electrical Company Limited. According to the announcement, Rexel will sell seven of its electrical wholesale branches to remedy competition concerns. The OFT will now avoid a referral of the merger to the Competition Commission.
