Reports say the Avis Budget Group Inc. merger with Zipcar Inc. may be finalized this week as the Office of Fair Trading has announced the deal does not need an antitrust investigation. The United States has already approved of the acquisition of the Cambridge, Massachusetts-based Zipcar by Avis. Also according to reports, Avis completed its debt financing of the deal last week.
