With their office expanding in London, Ropes & Gray have announced antitrust lawyer Ruchit Patel joining them from Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP. Patel brings his experience advising some of the largest companies in the world on matters before the European Commission, UK Competition and Markets Authority, UK sectoral regulators, UK High Court, and UK Competition Appeal Tribunal.
The firm’s antitrust Chair said: “Ruchit’s arrival is an important step in the global expansion of our antitrust practice, which already extends to major Asian economies and now expands into Europe and India. We could not be prouder to introduce our clients to Ruchit, whose well-recognized EU and Indian competition law expertise will be of great value.”
Ropes & Gray have added nearly two dozen partners so far this year, including former FTC trial attorney Chong Park and finance partners Chris McGarry and Partha Pal.
