UOKiK fines Canal+ Cyfrowy for misleading customers

Poland’s competition watchdog, the UOKiK, has fined Canal+ Cyfrowy PLN 1,806,304 (approximately € 430,938) for informing its customers they needed to call the company to terminate contracts. Customers could have notified Canal+ Cyfrowy in writing, but the UOKiK claims that once customers call, Canal+ Cyfrowy could then offer a better package over the phone, giving the company an advantage.
