US: Allen & Overy brings new talent to Washington, DC

Law firm Allen & Overy announced John Roberti will join the firms office in Washington, DC as partner at its global antitrust practice, according to reports.

    Roberti, who has represented both governmental and private clients in antitrust cases, will join Allen & Overy from Mayer Brown. He had also served as a litigator with the Federal Trade Commission.

    Among his most high profile cases is representing Actavis in the FTC’s antitrust case against the pharmaceutical company. The case reached the Supreme Court and became a landmark case for pay-for-delay agreements.

    Roberti also reportedly has experience advocating before the FTC and Department of Justice in various cases, including mergers.
