US: Appeals court upholds dismissal of case against TV audience measurement co

A US appeals court has upheld an earlier ruling that Sunbeam Television Corporation failed to adequately assert its claims that Nielsen Holdings violated antitrust law. Nielsen specializes in media measurement. A previous ruling dismissed Sunbeam’s case, which alleged Nielsen abused its dominance by preventing competitors from establishing a certain method of measuring television audiences in the Miami market. The United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit upheld that dismissal.
